Thank You

My second entry for Simon Says Autumn Challenge and HLS Mixed Media Nature Challenge.  For this card I wanted to make a leaf card with big leaf images which I don't have so I used artificial leaves and traced around them.

Here is the planning process ......

And here is my card .......

I colored the leaves with Derwent Ink Pencils and then added Distress Inks and Stains.  I added a touch of foil to the veins of the leaves but it's not clear in the photo.

I'm also participating in Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge.

Mixed Media "Autumn"

Hello!

I have a few projects to share today.  I love Autumn colors and was so inspired by the Simon Says Autumn Challenge  and HLS Mixed Media Nature Challenge I ended up making 3 cards (and I have another two backgrounds .... )  I hadn't planned on making so many cards but whilst waiting for each step to dry I wasn't quite satisfied with the progress and started something new ..... and with each step the projects veered off in different directions.  Gotta love crafting.....

Here is my first project:

I used a number of dies, Distress Inks, Paints and Stains, Texture Paste and gel medium.  Love the metal tag "embrace imperfection".

I'm also participating in Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge.

You ARE enough

CAS-ual Fridays Fight Like A Girl Challenge, Simon Says Think Pink Challenge and October Breast Cancer awareness was the inspiration behind this card.

I used Distress Inks to watercolor and at first I was too precise so I added loads of water to create more of a random look which I wanted.  It's not always easy to color outside the lines ;)

The stamp set is Concord and 9th You Are Enough.  Love that phrase.

Thanks for stopping by, have a good week and remember.... you ARE enough!

 Hugs, Zelda x

Breast Cancer Awareness

Hi!

This card was made with two challenges in mind both supporting Breast Cancer Awareness.  The challenge at CAS-UAL Fridays is "1 in 8", as 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer.

I recently watched this video by Jennifer McGuire and this technique came to mind for this challenge.

The second challenge is Time Out Challenge #67 - Breast Cancer Awareness and/or friendship.

And here is my card:

The stamp set is Cas-ual Fridays Amazeballs.
I have family and friends who have fought this disease so I'll be making a few cards and sending them off to these amazing women!

Thanks for popping in ..... and don't forget to self-examine.

Hugs,
Zelda xx

Hello friend

The challenge at Mod Squad this week is For the Birds and I knew immediately I would use my hummingbird stamp.  I love watching them in the garden.  Did you know they beat their wings about 70 times per second and lap up nectar at a rate of about 13 licks per second?
Fascinating....... and end of the lesson ;)

All supplies are Gina K Designs.

Have a great day and thanks so much for looking.

StampTV Inspiration Challenge

I love the gorgeous colors and flowers and ended up making 4 cards ......

I had fun doing a bit of everything, coloring, masking, watercolors etc.

Here is the gift box using Hero Arts Antique Rose stamp to which I added a bit of shading.

I kept the note cards very simple so they can be utilized for any occasion.
