CAS Hello

I used Hero Arts You're So Lovely stamp set.  Heat embossed the images on watercolor card stock and a light wash of water colors.  I die cut a frame using Lawn Fawn Rectangle dies.  Very simple, nothing fancy.

The challenge over at Mod Squad this week is to use a tool or supply that you have not used for a long time, rarely used or never used.  This was the perfect opportunity for me to use the Stampendous Pop-Up Die set which has been in my stash for a long time but I've never used it.

Here is the inside of the card.

Hello

I had great fun with this card.  I just love this Grapevine Wreath die from The Cat's Pajama's which I used as a stencil.  The inks are Dylusions ink sprays and such yummy bright colors!

I'm entering this in the following challenges:
The Cat's Pajama's Spring Blog Hop
TCP Tuesday Challenge - Bright Colors
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes

Rainbow Happy Birthday

This card was made for the Paper Smooches Rainbow Challenge. I used my die cut from Paper Smooches Squared die as a stencil.

After blending with Distress Inks I added Perfect Pearls... here's a close up of the pearly shine.

Fun with felt

Hi!

Today's projects were inspired by the felt challenges at Simon Says Stamp. The first is a mixed media canvas and the second is a simple card with felt flowers.

For the background I used Brusho's and gel medium, various stencils, distress paints and beautiful paper by The Paper Studio. The felt flowers are handmade made (after several attempts and lots of hot glue).  I used Spellbinders Fantastic Flourish die, Paper Smooches hearts die and a few other embellies from my stash.

For my card project I used the following dies:
Spellbinders Fancy Lattice
Lawn Fawn Rectangle
Gina K Friends Til the End

Thanks for looking and all your comments.  They are very much appreciated!

Life is about creating yourself

My second project is a mini canvas for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Home Decor and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Stencil It

I won't go into detail about how this was created but I will say that I had to go to Plan B after being heaving handed with Glimmer Mist.  It almost landed up in the "ugly box" but I had spent too long working on this so I had to try and resurrect it.   It seems that Crafter's Block has taken it's hold!  I do love the sentiments though:-

Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment.

Hugs

With love and prayers

Hi there and Happy Mother's Day!

I hope you're all enjoying the day and celebrating the special privilege of being a Mom.

My first card is for the Mod Squad April Showers Bring May Flowers Challenge

A simple card using stamps from Gina K Designs.  I water colored with images with Distress Inks and once dry I used Prismacolor pencils to add accents to the images.

Also entering Simon Says Work It Wednesday April Challenge and TCP Tuesday Challenge 313 Flowers.

Before I end off, I'd like to share a picture a friend sent me this morning :)
