Being Fabulous

My last card for today.....

This card was made with a few challenges in mind, Simon Says Stamp It's Hip to be SquareMod Squad Teacher's Pet Challenge and last but certainly not least NBUS Challenge #7 (if you are not familiar with Darnell's blog do yourself a favor and head over there).

Never-Before-Used-Schtuff (Stamps, Dies, EFs, etc.)

And here is my card ......

The background was created with texture paste, distress inks and crayons and stencils.  The sentiment (which I've not used before) from Dylusions makes me smile and I think it's a perfect match for this pooch!

Thank you for sticking with me through all these posts today.  Happy Sunday and have a great week.

Hugs,
Zelda

Beautiful Day

The challenge at A Blog Named Hero is a Pop of Color.  I used Hero Arts You're So Lovely stamp set.  For the 'pop' of red I inked the reverse of my stamp and I also sponged gray ink to add a bit of depth.

Thinking of You

This is for A2Z Scrapbooking "Color In" Challenge using Hero Arts Lotus Paper Layering die which I colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  For the background I used Distress Inks and the sentiment is Hero Arts Fancy Basics.

Hello Friend

Here I masked off the edges of the card with torn post-it tape giving me the uneven edge I wanted.  I used Distress Inks for the background and the Tim Holtz Wildflower stencil. The sentiment is Stampers Anonymous Crazy Talk.

That's it from me - thanks so much for stopping by and have a great week!

Hope

My next card was inspired by Verve Inspiration Challenge and here is the inspiration photo :-

For the background I heat embossed a starburst lace stamp which looks very similar to the dream catcher in the inspiration photo.  The feathers were stamped with distress inks and one on vellum which I die cut. The beautiful Hope Perches sentiment by Verve (which I love) was heat embossed on Vellum and attached with washi tape.

Here is a close up of the sentiment:

Sending Love

My final card for today was made for a challenge at StampTV and I realized it would also be suitable for the Sew Easy Challenge at Mod Squad Challenge so here's a second entry :)

The stamp is Gina K Designs Sending Love.

That's it from me until next time......

Colorful Polka Dots

This fun card is for I love Polka Dots Challenge at Double D Challenges. I had this background in my 'unfinished box' which was created with Impress Cross Hatch Dot Background stamp and Distress Inks and knew I wanted to use it for this challenge.... but what to do with it?! I would normally use a layer of vellum but I wanted something different so I used punches and dies to create the top layer to expose as much of the background as possible.  The stamp is from Lawn Fawn. Simple .... but fun :)

Happy Birthday

My next project is a card inspired by the Sew Easy Challenge over at Mod Squad Challenge Blog.

A simple card using Cas-ual Fridays Casual Vine die.  I used Brusho's and shimmer mist on glossy card for the vines and border and inlay die cutting technique to create a nice smooth layer.

For the inside I used the negative die cut as a stencil and the stamp is Cas-ual Fridays Shenanigan.

Also entering Simon Says Stamp Work It Wednesday July Challenge.

Container Crazy

Hello and Happy Sunday!

I have a few projects to share from my week-end of crafting.  First up is a project for Simon Says Stamp Try to Contain Yourself Challenge.  I was excited to see this challenge as I just love containers (any size, any shape, I love 'em all) ..... ask my family :)

This was a protein shake container (on it's way to the recycle bin, believe it or not) but I decided to extend it's life .... ;)

This will also be entered Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media Challenge (metal heart embellishment).

That's it from me until next time.

Have a wonderful week-end.

Celebrate this day

Hi there!

I hope you've had a good week.  I'm excited to share two cards I made a few days ago for Essentials By Ellen Challenge.

I stamped and embossed Essentials by Ellen Mondo Magnolia onto glossy paper which I had colored with Brusho's and shimmer spray and then wrapped in plastic wrap for a few minutes.  It's such a fun technique! Here is a close-up.

For the background I painted big, bold (and yes intentionally uneven) stripes with watercolors on watercolor paper. The sentiment is Altenew Super Script.  A few enamel dots to finish it off and adhered to a black card base.

I had fun with this one :)  Thanks for stopping by....

Gift Tag

This tag made for Cas-ual Fridays Gift Tag Challenge using Cas-ual Fridays Mon Ami stamp set.  I used Distress Ink Off Set Stamping technique which I love! Also entering Simon Says Stamp Fabulous Florals Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

Hugs
Zelda

Fun Celebration

I had so much creating this fun celebratory card for the Simon Says Stamp Celebrate Challenge using a couple of techniques from Creative Chemistry 103. I used distress inks for the colorful background with distress glaze resist to create a halo around the cute crazy bird.  I tried the Distress Paint Lifting Technique but wasn't happy with the result - but it seemed perfect for the fun balloons.  I added two layers of UTE to the balloons and adhered the background onto cork.

Happy Birthday

This card was inspired by the 6th anniversary of Simon Says Monday Challenge. Congratulations and thank you to the Design Team who inspire us weekly with their amazing creations.

For my background I used silver acrylic paint and distress inks - not sure if you can see the script writing and flourishes.  The flower is Simon Says Stamp Tattered Poppy die colored with Distress Inks and the Happy Birthday is also Simon Says Stamp colored with Silver Acrylic Paint and adhered to foam.

Entering Simon Says Celebrate Challenge and Simon Says Stamp Fabulous Florals Challenge.

Celebrate

Hello!
I have a few projects to share with you today.

This background was created with distress inks on water color paper from which I also die cut the fern.  I used the negative die cut to heat emboss the fern on the background.  The butterfly was also cut from a colored piece of watercolor paper.  All the dies are from Cheery Lynn Designs (butterfly, fern and celebrate).  To finish off I added washi tape and jute twine.
