Valentine CASE card

Hello friends,

My card today is a CASE of Darnell's card for the NBUS Challenge where I incorporated both optional elements of CASeing and the "Hidden Word" technique.

Supply List:
SSS You die (NBUS)
SSS Heart of Roses die (NBUS)
SSS You Matter stamp set (NBUS)
W R Memory Keepers Embossing Folder
Hero Arts Ink

Art Journal Page "Hope"

My next project is an Art Journal Page.  I started an Art Journal this year and I love the freedom that this allows but I must admit I also find it quite a challenge.  This video was extremely helpful and I used it to create the circles. I'm excited to learn from the pro's and try out new techniques.

My supplies included Gesso, Distress Paints, Inks, Crayons and Sprays, dies (feathers, circles and Sizzix alternations), texture paste, stencils (background and circles), Verve Hope stamp.

I'm linking this so SSS Monday Challenge (spreading my wings in my art journey), SSS Wednesday ChallengeMixed Media ChallengeA Vintage Journey and Stamplorations Mixed Media

Thanks for visiting and keeping me company.... have a wonderful week!

Hugs,
Zelda

Many thanks

Jan-Moodboard-BubblyDesignCo-2015

Don't you just love these inspirational pics!  I immediately noticed the second picture in the top row - I can't resist that minty / aqua color.  It's one of my fav's so of course I used it on my card for Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge.

I used my Zigs to color the flowers (Essentials by Ellen Mondo Magnolia).  I had to combine two colors to get a shade I was happy with (Cobalt Blue and Light Gray) and I added some Wink of Stella for a bit of sparkle!  The die is Essentials by Ellen Many Thanks die.

Thanks so much for visiting - I love it when you do.  Have a great week!

Hello Hello

Hello friends,
I have a few cards to share today.

First is a one layer CAS card inspired by the challenge at AAA cards.

I finally got the opportunity to try my Clarity brushes ....  (and now I know what all the hype is about 😊).

Supplies List:
 DI Cracked Pistachio
Hero Arts stencil
SSS hello die

Get Well Wishes

I'm playing along in the NBUS Challenge and opted for the optional theme of colored pencils on kraft and used my NBUS set Wild Rose (Technique Tuesday) and Prisma pencils.  Thanks for the fun challenge Darnell and the generous prizes you're offering!

I'm also linking this to Mod Squad Get Well Soon.

Celebrate

The challenge at CAS-ual Fridays is 'Everything Turns Gold' so I 'had' to use gold Glitter Dust.  I masked off the greeting which was gold heat embossed with Cas-ual Fridays Shenanigan.  I used my die cuts from Cas-ual Fridays linked die as stencils (with a spot of adhesive to hold them down).  The glitter dust gives a lovely shimmery glittery glow which is not really captured in the photo.  Fun!

Watercolor Poppies

My next card was created for the Altenew January Inspiration Challenge using Distress Inks and Altenew Painted Poppy.

The 'white splatters' were created by applying masking fluid to my watercolor paper prior to stamping.

Be Awesome

This is the last card .....
And a very bright and bold one at that, inspired by Addicted to Stamps and this photo inspiration image:

After watching this video I thought I'd give this technique a try.  I like the messy, layered results of this technique.

My supply list:
Hero Arts stencil and stamp
Neat and Tangled Awesome die (NBUS)
Gansai Tambi watercolors

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Happy Day

A very quick post today to share my card at Mod Squad Bling Challenge and Altenew January Inspiration Challenge.

And here is my entry

I used watercolors to create the ombre background. Embossed the images (Altenew Hennah Elements) and colored with my Zigs.
Added a few "random" 😉 sequins.

Thank you for stopping by and for your comments, they always brighten my day.

May your day be a Happy One x

A Personal Post - In Memory

Hello friends,

Today's post is a personal one and a very sad one.  Yesterday my dear Dad-in-law passed away in South Africa.  We are heartbroken. He was a wonderful, kind, caring, generous soul who was well respected and loved by all.  He touched many lives and will be sorely missed.

I created a page for my journal in memory of him.

Treasure your loved ones and if your family live close-by, give them an extra hug tonight.

Hugs Zelda x

Life is a Wonderful Experiment

Today's card made with hot glue embossing certainly looks like an experiment 😊.
I love the abstract look and of course experimenting ......

SSS New Something

I applied hot glue to watercolor paper, heat embossed with silver embossing powder (a few times for a nice rich silver color).  Once cooled I used watercolors for the background.  I also heat embossed the edges with silver embossing powder and then added a light touch of black embossing powder to give a finished look.  The sentiment My Favorite Things Undeniable Chemistry is stamped in silver.

I'm linking this to AAA Cards Silver ChallengeSSS Start Afresh Challenge (sentiment stamp straight out of the package),

Thanks for stopping by and your comments are so very much appreciated!

Happy New Year Celebration

It's almost time to celebrate the New Year which wouldn't be complete without a New Year's card - and a shaker at that!

My inspiration for this card is the mood board over at Double D Challenges and Rahmat's card at Happy Little Stampers:

Supplies used for my card are as follows:
SSS Ring Frame die
Sweet Stamp Shop Happy Hour
Various sequins, glitter and glitter paper
Lots of patience 😊

May you have a wonderful 2017.
