YOU make the world a better place

Hi!

I have a few cards I'd like to share with you today.  My first card includes one of the backgrounds I made recently.

I inked my stencil with distress inks, misted with water and applied to watercolor paper. Such a fun technique.

The colors I selected are from the color challenge at Rubberdance Color Challenge.

Get Well Soon

My next card was inspired by the CAS-ual Friday Challenge and I opted for a 1 layer / butterflies / stripes card.

I colored the images with my Zigs, fussy cut the edge, and adhered the striped paper to the inside of my card.

Mark It, Stamp It

The challenge over at Mod Squad this week is to color your stamp with a marker and stamp it.  This is a fun technique and I usually use solid images for this technique.  This time I decided to use an outline stamp and watercolor the image.

I used a selection of tombow markers and the stamp set is Stately Flowers 9 (Gina K Designs.)

As always, thanks so much for visiting and have a great week!

Celebrate

Hello and Happy 4th July!

I thought it apt to post this card first, in honor of today.

I find CAS cards challenging at times but today I thought I'd get out of my comfort zone ...... and I had a blast!

Supplies:  DO inks, Paper Smooches Positive Strokes 2, Sizzix die

Happy Birthday!

My next card was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's latest video - block watercolor stamping.  Being the 'technique junkie' that I am, I was excited to try this technique again.  Here is the link if you've not seen it.

I made a few other backgrounds in different colors but decided to go with the red / blue combo.

The stamp set is Gina K Design's Daisy Delight.

I'm participating in the following challenges: Less Is MoreSSS Red White / BlueSSS Anything GoesHLS CAS Challenge.

You are my MOST favorite

And lastly a one layer card..... 😊

I used my heart die cut as a mask and applied ink with stencil brushes for a subtle look.

Love that sentiment!

I'm playing along at AAA Cards.

Thank you for visiting me today and have a great week!

Stencil cards

I'm back with another quick(ish) post 😊.

The challenge at Simon Says Stamp is 'Stencil It' .... so I've been playing with stencils .... and more stencils.

A few simple cards .....

And lots of playing ....

And here is the card I'm entering:-

Very simple and subtle.
I decided not to add any embellishments.  I wanted simplicity.

I'll be linking this to Simon Says Anything Goes and HLS Watercolor Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.
